Reflections of a working writer and reader

Winged with Death

A boy has to peddle his book, said Truman Capote. And with that in mind I’ve published the opening chapter of my latest novel, Winged with Death, on this blog. It’s rather lengthy, but you don’t have to read it all.

It will be published by Flambard Press in March 2009.

I believe it was Capote who also said, Finishing a book is just like you took a child out in the yard and shot it.

I didn’t see the movie about Capote. But I remember what some writers have said over the years.

Aha. So this is why I missed the news WINGED WITH DEATH was to be published. I was without internet access this time of the year and must’ve missed it in the archives. I’m very pleased the book will be on the shelves and we all will get a chance to read it. I’m looking forward to it very much. Hope it flies high and far.
