The UK Film Council is backing the launch of a social networking and community website that aims to boost cinema attendances for non-mainstream movies.

    It is a good move on their part. Often great movies are not shown or overshadow by mainstream(that what it sells after all) and in the process good movies with a great plot are often not know except in their countries of origin.
    The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is a great example of no mainstream movie that received great success amongst the audience.
