Although I am of huge fan of his poetry, I really loved his autobiography - what a wonderful collection of stories of poetic characters. He brings them alive and gives each of their own voice. To say Neruda has influenced my own poetry is a terrible understatement. You may want to check out my blog for some more tropical poetry in a Neruda-style. Pablo Neruda had a voice like no other.
