It looks like an amazing book to read except for the plot which is not very interesting. Sounds ironic right? I don't know, but still I thought it's interesting.

This is a good book, as in, it is very well written but, there certainly is something missing from the plot. It continuously feels like there should be just a little more... just a little bit more or this and that. Not sure what the lack is but the plot could have done more. Other than that, the writing is fantastic.

I too did not find the plot much interesting. Certainly would have been a better book if the plot was really good. Loved all the other aspects but the main aspect was not up to standards I guess.

I thought it was fantastic. It reminded of Paul Auster and Saul Bellow.

It has some great imagery. The Department of Motor Vehicle's entrance is … a static turnstile like a monster's unearthed skeleton

jb says: Hi Leon, it is brilliant when a book comes along that makes you sit up and take notice. I'll be looking out for more like this one.

jb says: Yeah. It was something special.

An amazing book. When someone can write this beautifully, tell a story of a stage of life so vividly describe a time of history so subtlely, then there is just no much more one can ask.
