1. Why do you blog?
I can’t stop telling people what I think no matter how little they’re interested.
2. Which author and/or book has most influenced you?
Actually a statement by one author influenced me more than anything. Ian Flemming once said that he wanted his writing to be literate but not literature. It may sound dumb but as a serious young man who thought that his writing was supposed to “mean something” that was a relief to hear. It allowed me to relax and enjoy writing stories that are comical but hopefully evince real humanity.
3. Which three blogs do you most visit?
I’m sure my top three most visited are trashy pop culture blogs like egotastic at http://egotastic.com/, yeeeah at http://yeeeah.com/ and idontlikeyouinthatway at http://idontlikeyouinthatway.com/. But three that I really love are doktorfrank at http://doktorfrank.com/, deliberatepixel at http://deliberatepixel.com/, and nineteenthirtynine at http://nineteenthirtynine.net/.
4. Why do you read fiction?
I don’t know if a lot of people have picked up on this but real life is confusing and painful.
5. What makes you laugh?
Humor. Nothing’s funnier than humor.

John, I thought you were giving up this series. More addictive than you thought, eh? I must agree with this guy: nothing funnier than humor. Except maybe painfully bad humor.
