1. Why do you blog?
My main reason for blogging is to promote reading, writing, and
discussion. Sometimes my intention manifests itself as nothing more than plugs for books or stories I loved and sometimes it’s a plug for my own work. Another reason is the connection blogging offers in an otherwise insular profession.

2. Which author and/or book has most influenced you?
I imagine every writer I read influences me in some way, or at the very least teaches me something.

3. Which three blogs do you most visit?
Moorish Girl http://www.moorishgirl.com/;
Myfanwy http://myfanwy.blogspot.com/;
Storyglossia http://www.storyglossia.com/blog/blog.html

4. Why do you read fiction?
To learn and to be moved. With the best books I learn something completely new about myself or others and I’m always grateful for the most evocative literature.

5. What makes you laugh?
Wry humor - I think the British have this down; and I appreciate humor which compells us to laugh at ourselves, but with compassion.
