1. Why do you blog?
You know the saying, “Chocolate is cheaper than therapy and you don’t need an appointment”? Blogging’s got a leg up on that.
I blog to improve my writing and communication skills.
I blog to play.
I blog because I come across something that should be more widely known about.
I blog to not tire out the ears of my near and dear by rerouting some of that talk to text.
I blog because it is a way to organize and clarify my thoughts and make them googlable, because my memory is cheese cloth.
I blog as a way to step forward and spin my world positively instead of letting the noise pollution of Chicken Littles go unchallenged.
I blog because I know clearly with the fullness of my being that it is essential for the world at large to know which Sesame Street character I am.

2. Which author and/or book has most influenced you?
Mongoose Watch by field biologist Annie Rasa because she followed tribes, nuclear and extended families of mongooses through generations, watched their relationships, interactions, personalities. It informed and reinforced my sense of what functional relationships are, what community is, what sentience is. It supported the notion that individual experience is actions, reactions, incidentals, choices, impacts, and this is universal, not dependent on some qualifier of place, time, size or species.

3. Which three blogs do you most visit?

4. Why do you read fiction?
I prefer non-fiction. I will read a particular piece of fiction only if someone who knows me well recommends it, or has written it.
Unless you count poetry as fiction in which case, I read it because it exists and therefore may cause that heat through deep tissues and tingle of scalp if it is exactly right for me here and now.

5. What makes you laugh?
I laugh easily and often but not often enough. People being humorless makes me laugh. Irreverence makes me laugh. Kittens playing makes me laugh. Horrible puns can make me lose my composure entirely to shaking tears of laughter.
