1. Why do you blog?
At the risk of sounding cliched: to reach out to the world. I started my writing blog At Home, Writing at the end of March this year. The idea was to share my journey as a writer with readers and fellow writers and learn from them in the process. The interaction has proved to be extremely rewarding for me. I am gaining so much from fellow writer bloggers, it’s incredibly enriching. There’s a peculiar symbiosis happening in the blogsphere, shared learning being the seed and fruit of individual and collective blogging endeavours.

2. Which author and/or book has most influenced you?
Rabindranath Tagore. It’s hard to pick a single most influential book, though.

3. Which three blogs do you most visit?
All the blogs on my blog list (too many to list here). I am not partial to any three.

4. Why do you read fiction?
To appreciate the human condition better, to know how history affects the ordinary man on the street, to be reminded time and again that hope and miracle still happen, to be reassured that nature is still pristine, and the human heart isn’t mechanised despite technology taking over humankind.

5. What makes you laugh?
A silly joke, needless dramas created by attention-craving people, harmless pranks.

Many thanks, again! And a good day to you.

Thanks, John, for taking the time to do the survey and post them here. It sure was fun answering the questions.
