What phases are involved in the creation of a text?

Off the top of my head, I think the stages are not a set order and end is an arbitrarily drawn line.

Stages? There is perception, experience, reaction, attaching words, revision as composition in your head as you shuffle the pieces of frame, revision on the page.

Words may come before ideas for people who are in the habit of writing. Any of these can cycle thru in any order.

Subjecting text to sounding board of other people or yourself further along in time after more perceiving and synthesizing.

Rewriting, taken back to the bones of main points and fattening up again, shifting until transitions are natural and energy flows thru properly.
