A lot of good stuff to think about here, and it's reinforced my view of myself as a poet manqué - language as an autonomous phenomenon, a piece interrogating its writer, authenticity, language as stored experience, language as silence, and so much more. And a good deal, if not all, of what Priego says about poetry applies equally to fiction, or at least the fiction that I want to write.
