Ceramic

potsI bought another of Ilona Sulikova’s pots yesterday. Couldn’t help myself. I tried walking past but the thing had a hold of me by then. Could have been any of them, I suppose, but this time it was the white one wouldn’t let go.
In this exhibition the full-bodied hand-built pots are displayed alongside the work of Patricia Issitt and Richard Popel at The Norman Rea Gallery, Langwith College, University of York until the 23rd November 2007.

They are rather beautiful, almost poetic - I can see why you couldn’t resist. Objects like that make the world a little more bearable.
