A Writer’s Notebook III

I have a note about a small old people’s home, situated somewhere in the south of Germany. I do know exactly where it is but will not divulge this information to protect the innocent. The note is about a geriatric couple who have insisted on sitting next to each other on the ward for some considerable time. Neither of them have the use of their legs. It goes on to describe how the couple argued and wrangled with the support staff until they agreed to lower the sidebar and put the old woman in his bed.

About Writing:

You write until you come to a place where you still have your juice and know what will happen next and you stop and try to live through until the next day when you hit it again. Ernest Hemingway
