I haven’t mentioned it before but a few days ago this blog was selected by 9rules to join their network. One-hundred-and-fifteen sites out of the original seven-hundred submissions have been invited to join.

Of course, not a little luck was involved in johnbakersblog being noticed by the 9rules selectors.

Whatever, it is now official. This blog has become a member of the 9rules Network. Confirmation was received by email yesterday evening.

So, what is it all about? What does it mean? According to the blurb, 9rules “highlights the very best web content in the world.

But you can check it out for yourself. Click on the icon and it’ll take you to the site. There is a good selection of blogs there, many of them with impressive content.

For my part, I’ll expect more visitors to this site (Come in, have a seat, did you bring something to share?), but I think it’s important to carry on as before, posting the posts and keeping the debate as open as possible. One of the sub-texts on this blog is to be wary of badges and flags and not to get caught up in your own hype.

Congratulations on getting accepted by 9rules. And congratulations on having the largest list of litblogs I have ever seen. Amazing.

Congrats John! I had looked at the existing 9rules member-blogs last week, and they really are very good. Some of them are intimidatingly good, and are lessons in high quality blogging for newbies like me.

    Keep up the fine work.

Well done for 9rules. I was also accepted into the community. I’m wondering if they’ll start a new community for theatre blogs, that would be great.
